Morning: Gearing Up for the Day
My day at Young’s Heating & Cooling starts bright and early at 7 AM. After grabbing a quick coffee, I check the schedule for the day’s appointments. Today, I’m headed to College Place for an AC repair, followed by an air conditioning installation in Walla Walla.
First Stop: AC Repair in College Place
By 8 AM, I’m at the first customer’s home in College Place. The homeowner explains that their air conditioner is making strange noises and not cooling effectively. After a thorough inspection, I discover a worn-out fan belt. Luckily, I have the replacement part in my truck, and within an hour, the AC is running smoothly again.
Midday: Air Conditioning Installation in Walla Walla
After wrapping up in College Place, I head to Walla Walla for a new AC installation. This job takes most of the afternoon, as it involves:
- Removing the old unit
- Installing the new system
- Connecting and testing all components
- Explaining the new system to the homeowner
Late Afternoon: Emergency Call in Milton-Freewater
Just as I’m finishing up in Walla Walla, I receive an emergency call from a customer in Milton-Freewater. Their AC has completely stopped working on one of the hottest days of the year. I quickly drive over and diagnose the issue as a faulty capacitor. Within an hour, I’ve replaced the part and restored cool air to their home.
Evening: Wrapping Up and Preparing for Tomorrow
As the day winds down, I head back to the Young’s Heating & Cooling office in Lowden. I update the customer files, restock my truck with commonly used parts, and review tomorrow’s schedule. It looks like I’ll be heading to Touchet and Dixie for some routine AC service calls.
Working at Young’s Heating & Cooling is always an adventure. From AC repairs to installations and emergency services, every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our customers stay comfortable in their homes.
