A Day in the Life of an HVAC Technician at All Temp

Rise and Shine: The Early Morning Routine

My day as an HVAC technician at All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning starts bright and early. By 6:30 AM, I’m up and preparing for the day ahead. After a quick breakfast and cup of coffee, I’m out the door and on my way to our first job in Chicago.

First Call: AC Repair in the Windy City

Our first stop is a residential AC repair in the heart of Chicago. The homeowner reported their unit wasn’t cooling properly, so we’re here to diagnose and fix the issue. After a thorough inspection, we discover a refrigerant leak. We quickly get to work, sealing the leak and recharging the system.

Midday: HVAC Installation in Bolingbrook

Next, we head to Bolingbrook for a scheduled HVAC installation. This job requires precision and teamwork as we remove the old system and carefully install the new one. It’s hard work, but seeing the customer’s satisfaction when we’re done makes it all worthwhile.

Afternoon: Air Conditioner Service Calls

The afternoon is filled with various service calls across Skokie, Evanston, and Lincolnwood. We:

  • Clean and replace air filters
  • Check and adjust refrigerant levels
  • Inspect and clean condenser coils
  • Lubricate moving parts

Each call is an opportunity to ensure our customers’ systems are running efficiently and to catch any potential issues before they become major problems.

Evening: Emergency AC Repair in Morton Grove

Just as we’re wrapping up for the day, we get an emergency call from Morton Grove. A family’s AC has completely stopped working on one of the hottest days of the year. We rush over and work diligently to get their system back up and running, much to their relief.

End of Day: Reflection and Preparation

As I head home, I reflect on the day’s challenges and successes. Being an HVAC technician at All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning is demanding, but knowing we’ve helped keep our customers comfortable makes it all worthwhile. I look forward to what tomorrow brings and the new opportunities to serve our community.
